Purpose
The company is committed to promoting sustainable tourism practices in all its operations. The objective of this policy is to ensure environmental and social responsibility in all tourism activities, selecting suppliers and contractors who share this commitment, establishing sustainability criteria and monitoring compliance. This policy contributes to the sustainability of destinations and aligns employees and partners with the company’s values.

Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and partners involved in the company’s tourism operations. This Policy does not apply to external stakeholders not engaged in service delivery or operational decision-making.

Sustainability commitment
Ask Discovery’s management is fully committed to the company’s sustainability performance and fully supports our mission and sustainability policy. We recognize that compliance with environmental, labor and human rights regulations is the foundation for operating with integrity; therefore, we continuously monitor our activities and those of our suppliers, identifying potential non-compliance early and implementing corrective actions, up to and including termination of contracts or employment relationships when necessary.
Ask Discovery is committed to continuous improvement of sustainability practices, including regular monitoring and evaluation of our policy, with staff and resources specifically assigned to achieve our objectives.
Our sustainability progress and performance will be published on Travel life with biannual updates, ensuring that every two years we make available to the public a detailed report of indicators, achievements and areas for improvement. We also make our values, principles, policies and practices that support this sustainability policy accessible on our website.

At Ask Discovery, we believe that our team is the foundation of our success and the engine for delivering memorable experiences to our travelers. That is why we are committed to cultivating a work environment that prioritizes human dignity, fairness and sustainable growth, in line with our corporate values and international standards.
Our Principles
Ask Discovery operates under strict respect for human rights in all its operations. We reject any form of discrimination, harassment, forced or child labor, both within our organization and in our supply chain. We require this same commitment from suppliers and commercial partners.

Our employees receive ongoing training, with special emphasis on sustainable tourism practices that they then apply in their interactions with clients and communities.
The safety and well-being of our team are priorities. We implement occupational health protocols and foster an inclusive work environment where every voice matters. We encourage active employee participation in designing our sustainability policies, recognizing their frontline experience.
We operate with complete transparency and legal compliance, constantly monitoring our practices to align with labor, environmental, and human rights regulations.

Internal management: environment
At Ask Discovery, we operate under a 100% remote model and only use our physical offices once a month for essential meetings. This allows us to reduce our carbon footprint by avoiding CO₂ emissions generated by travel in combustion vehicles.
We actively prioritize suppliers who demonstrate tangible commitments to sustainability, aligned with our environmental and social standards. Thanks to this approach, we can build a responsible supply chain without compromising the quality of our services.
Before starting any tour, our guides share clear guidelines with customers to properly manage waste, minimize the impact on the ecosystems visited, and encourage responsible consumption in local communities.
All employees receive training in environmental management during their induction period. To broaden our impact, we promote the use of LED light bulbs and waste separation in our team’s homes.
Since our activity is completely digital, we also prioritize the responsible use of electronic devices. In addition, we seek to extend the useful life of each piece of equipment by repairing or reusing it within the organization. When a device becomes obsolete or stops working, we manage it through certified electronic recycling centers.
As part of our internal monitoring system, we keep a basic record of the devices used in our operations, which allows us to ensure a minimum level of traceability and promote their replacement only when strictly necessary. This policy is formally communicated to the entire team, so that each employee is an ambassador for our ecological values.

General suppliers policy
At Ask Discovery, we establish business relationships with suppliers who demonstrate a genuine commitment to sustainability, in line with our environmental and social values. We prioritize those who are certified and promote tourism experiences based on the natural and cultural cycles of the destination, avoiding artificial practices that alter its ecological or social balance.
All our suppliers must adhere to our Code of Ethics, which requires Unrestricted respect for human rights.
Active protection of ecosystems and natural resources.
Anti-corruption, anti-discrimination, and fair local hiring policies.
Violation of these principles is grounds for immediate termination of any contract.

Tour leaders, local representatives, and guides
At Ask Discovery, we understand that tour guides and local representatives are key players in the traveler’s experience and in fostering a respectful connection with the sociocultural and environmental context of the destination. That is why we prioritize hiring staff who already have training and experience in sustainability, cultural norms, and good tourism practices.
We select people with knowledge of sustainable tourism, ecotourism, or environmental management who are committed to responsible management. We especially value those who have in-depth knowledge of the local culture, history, natural heritage, and customs.
During the selection process, we evaluate the ethical commitment of candidates through interviews and tests, ensuring that they share the principles of respect, integrity, and environmental awareness.
The guides who represent Ask Discovery are ambassadors of our sustainable practices and fundamental pillars in promoting conscious, respectful, and transformative tourism.

Destinations
At Ask Discovery, we work to promote tourism that values and protects the destinations we visit. That is why we prefer to operate in places that combine tourist appeal with a real commitment to sustainability and responsible management of their resources.
We focus on destinations that, in addition to offering meaningful and authentic experiences, do not have a high environmental and social impact. In cases where there is high pressure on the environment, we seek mitigation and compensation measures that guarantee the long-term conservation of the place.
Our responsibility as a company includes supporting initiatives that respect the balance between tourism and local well-being. For this reason, we avoid working in areas with a serious history of human rights violations or where tourism is deteriorating the quality of life of its inhabitants or natural ecosystems.
During our excursions, the purchase, sale, or promotion of wildlife products such as iguana eggs, shark fins, turtle shells, exotic animal skins, tusks, horns, or any other items obtained from endangered or protected species is strictly prohibited. It is also not permitted to purchase wild animals, whether alive or dead. In line with our commitment to animal welfare and biodiversity preservation, we do not promote the trade of souvenirs or decorative items containing endangered species of flora or fauna.
These measures do not limit our travelers’ experience. On the contrary, we provide them with information that allows them to better understand the reality of the destinations, fostering a more conscious and respectful connection with the environment and local communities.
At Ask Discovery, we believe that enjoying a destination and protecting it can go hand in hand. Our commitment is to contribute to each tourist experience leaving a positive mark on the territory and those who visit it.

Customer communication and protection
Privacy
At Ask Discovery we take care of your personal information with the same respect that we protect the destinations we visit. We use your information (name, contact, travel preferences) only to manage reservations and enhance your experience, storing it securely with advanced encryption. We only share what we need to share with essential local suppliers, never with third parties for commercial purposes. You have full control over your data: you can access, correct, delete or oppose advertising by writing to us and we will respond within 30 days. We use basic cookies for the operation of the site and analytical cookies for improvement, which you can manage in your browser.
Sustainability communication
We promote responsible behavior that combines respect for local communities and care for the natural environment. Before our clients interact with the host populations, we provide them with information about the customs, traditions and cultural norms of the destination.
During tourism activities we promote responsible behavior with nature. We guide our clients to avoid damaging the ecosystem, altering the behavior of animals or affecting the local flora. We also ask them not to leave residues, especially those that are not biodegradable. In addition, they are instructed not to buy products made with parts of wild animals or protected species. Our goal is that you can enjoy the natural environment without compromising its conservation.

Definitions
